“"इसलिये कि अब तुम्हारे लिये नींद से जाग उठने की घड़ी आ पहुंची है, क्योंकि जिस समय हम ने विश्वास किया था, उस समय के विचार से अब हमारा उद्धार निकट है।"”
“Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”
10 निदान, प्रभु में और उस की शक्ति के प्रभाव में बलवन्त बनो।
11 परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बान्ध लो; कि तुम शैतान की युक्तियों के साम्हने खड़े रह सको।
12 क्योंकि हमारा यह मल्लयुद्ध, लोहू और मांस से नहीं, परन्तु प्रधानों से और अधिकारियों से, और इस संसार के अन्धकार के हाकिमों से, और उस दुष्टता की आत्मिक सेनाओं से है जो आकाश में हैं।
13 इसलिये परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बान्ध लो, कि तुम बुरे दिन में साम्हना कर सको, और सब कुछ पूरा करके स्थिर रह सको।
14 सो सत्य से अपनी कमर कसकर, और धार्मीकता की झिलम पहिन कर।
15 और पांवों में मेल के सुसमाचार की तैयारी के जूते पहिन कर।
16 और उन सब के साथ विश्वास की ढाल लेकर स्थिर रहो जिस से तुम उस दुष्ट के सब जलते हुए तीरों को बुझा सको।
10. My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
पाठ उपदेश
4 मुझे ईश्वर की आत्मा ने बनाया है, और सर्वशक्तिमान की सांस से मुझे जीवन मिलता है।
4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
5 यहोवा मेरा भाग और मेरे कटोरे का हिस्सा है; मेरे बाट को तू स्थिर रखता है।
6 मेरे लिये माप की डोरी मनभावने स्थान में पड़ी, और मेरा भाग मनभावना है॥
7 मैं यहोवा को धन्य कहता हूं, क्योंकि उसने मुझे सम्मत्ति दी है; वरन मेरा मन भी रात में मुझे शिक्षा देता है।
8 मैं ने यहोवा को निरन्तर अपने सम्मुख रखा है: इसलिये कि वह मेरे दाहिने हाथ रहता है मैं कभी न डगमगाऊंगा॥
9 इस कारण मेरा हृदय आनन्दित और मेरी आत्मा मगन हुई; मेरा शरीर भी चैन से रहेगा।
10 क्योंकि तू मेरे प्राण को अधोलोक में न छोड़ेगा, न अपने पवित्र भक्त को सड़ने देगा॥
11 तू मुझे जीवन का रास्ता दिखाएगा; तेरे निकट आनन्द की भरपूरी है, तेरे दाहिने हाथ में सुख सर्वदा बना रहता है॥
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
6 निश्चय भलाई और करूणा जीवन भर मेरे साथ साथ बनी रहेंगी; और मैं यहोवा के धाम में सर्वदा वास करूंगा॥
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
1 और तिशबी एलिय्याह जो गिलाद के परदेसियों में से था उसने अहाब से कहा, इस्राएल का परमेश्वर यहोवा जिसके सम्मुख मैं उपस्थित रहता हूँ, उसके जीवन की शपथ इन वर्षों में मेरे बिना कहे, न तो मेंह बरसेगा, और न ओस पड़ेगी।
2 तब यहोवा का यह वचन उसके पास पहुंचा,
3 कि यहां से चलकर पूरब ओर मुख करके करीत नाम नाले में जो यरदन के साम्हने है छिप जा।
4 उसी नाले का पानी तू पिया कर, और मैं ने कौवों को आज्ञा दी है कि वे तूझे वहां खिलाएं।
5 यहोवा का यह वचन मान कर वह यरदन के साम्हने के करीत नाम नाले में जा कर छिपा रहा।
6 और सवेरे और सांझ को कौवे उसके पास रोटी और मांस लाया करते थे और वह नाले का पानी पिया करता था।
8 तब यहोवा का यह वचन उसके पास पहुंचा,
9 कि चलकर सीदोन के सारपत नगर में जा कर वहीं रह: सुन, मैं ने वहां की एक विधवा को तेरे खिलाने की आज्ञा दी है।
10 सो वह वहां से चल दिया, और सारपत को गया; नगर के फाटक के पास पहुंच कर उसने क्या देखा कि, एक विधवा लकड़ी बीन रही है, उसको बुलाकर उसने कहा, किसी पात्र में मेरे पीने को थोड़ा पानी ले आ।
11 जब वह लेने जा रही थी, तो उसने उसे पुकार के कहा अपने हाथ में एक टुकड़ा रोटी भी मेरे पास लेती आ।
12 उसने कहा, तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा के जीवन की शपथ मेरे पास एक भी रोटी नहीं है केवल घड़े में मुट्ठी भर मैदा और कुप्पी में थोड़ा सा तेल है, और मैं दो एक लकड़ी बीनकर लिए जाती हूँ कि अपने और अपने बेटे के लिये उसे पकाऊं, और हम उसे खाएं, फिर मर जाएं।
13 एलिय्याह ने उस से कहा, मत डर; जा कर अपनी बात के अनुसार कर, परन्तु पहिले मेरे लिये एक छोटी सी रोटी बना कर मेरे पास ले आ, फिर इसके बाद अपने और अपने बेटे के लिये बनाना।
14 क्योंकि इस्राएल का परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, कि जब तक यहोवा भूमि पर मेंह न बरसाएगा तब तक न तो उस घड़े का मैदा चुकेगा, और न उस कुप्पी का तेल घटेगा।
15 तब वह चली गई, और एलिय्याह के वचन के अनुसार किया, तब से वह और स्त्री और उसका घराना बहुत दिन तक खाते रहे।
17 इन बातों के बाद उस स्त्री का बेटा जो घर की स्वामिनी थी, रोगी हुआ, और उसका रोग यहां तक बढ़ा कि उसका सांस लेना बन्द हो गया।
18 तब वह एलिय्याह से कहने लगी, हे परमेश्वर के जन! मेरा तुझ से क्या काम? क्या तू इसलिये मेरे यहां आया है कि मेरे बेटे की मृत्यु का कारण हो और मेरे पाप का स्मरण दिलाए?
19 उसने उस से कहा अपना बेटा मुझे दे; तब वह उसे उसकी गोद से ले कर उस अटारी पर ले गया जहां वह स्वयं रहता था, और अपनी खाट पर लिटा दिया।
20 तब उसने यहोवा को पुकार कर कहा।
21 हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा! इस बालक का प्राण इस में फिर डाल दे।
22 एलिय्याह की यह बात यहोवा ने सुन ली, और बालक का प्राण उस में फिर आ गया और वह जी उठा।
23 तब एलिय्याह बालक को अटारी पर से नीचे घर में ले गया, और एलिय्याह ने यह कहकर उसकी माता के हाथ में सौंप दिया, कि देख तेरा बेटा जीवित है।
24 स्त्री ने एलिय्याह से कहा, अब मुझे निश्चय हो गया है कि तू परमेश्वर का जन है, और यहोवा का जो वचन तेरे मुंह से निकलता है, वह सच होता है।
1 And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
2 And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12 And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.
15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
17 And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
18 And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
19 And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.
20 And he cried unto the Lord,
21 O Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again.
22 And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
14 और जो कोई अनर्थ काम तुझ से होता हो उसे दूर करे, और अपने डेरों में कोई कुटिलता न रहने दे,
15 तब तो तू निश्चय अपना मुंह निष्कलंक दिखा सकेगा; और तू स्थिर हो कर कभी न डरेगा।
16 तब तू अपना दु:ख भूल जाएगा, तू उसे उस पानी के समान स्मरण करेगा जो बह गया हो।
17 और तेरा जीवन दोपहर से भी अधिक प्रकाशमान होगा; और चाहे अन्धेरा भी हो तौभी वह भोर सा हो जाएगा।
18 और तुझे आशा होगी, इस कारण तू निर्भय रहेगा; और अपने चारों ओर देख देखकर तू निर्भय विश्राम कर सकेगा।
19 और जब तू लेटेगा, तब कोई तुझे डराएगा नहीं।
14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid;
1 उन दिनों में हिजकिय्याह ऐसा रोगी हुआ कि वह मरने पर था। और आमोस के पुत्र यशायाह नबी ने उसके पास जा कर कहा, यहोवा यों कहता है, अपने घराने के विषय जो आज्ञा देनी हो वह दे, क्योंकि तू न बचेगा मर ही जाएगा।
2 तब हिजकिय्याह ने भीत की ओर मुंह फेर कर यहोवा से प्रार्थना कर के कहा;
3 हे यहोवा, मैं बिनती करता हूं, स्मरण कर कि मैं सच्चाई और खरे मन से अपने को तेरे सम्मुख जानकर चलता आया हूं और जो तेरी दृष्टि में उचित था वही करता आया हूं। और हिजकिय्याह बिलक बिलककर रोने लगा।
4 तब यहोवा का यह वचन यशायाह के पास पहुंचा,
5 जा कर हिजकिय्याह से कह कि तेरे मूलपुरूष दाऊद का परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, मैं ने तेरी प्रार्थना सुनी और तेरे आंसू देखे हैं; सुन, मैं तेरी आयु पन्द्रह वर्ष और बढ़ा दूंगा।
9 यहूदा के राजा हिजकिय्याह का लेख जो उसने लिखा जब वह रोगी हो कर चंगा हो गया था, वह यह है:
12 मेरा घर चरवाहे के तम्बू की नाईं उठा लिया गया है; मैं ने जोलाहे की नाईं अपने जीवन को लपेट दिया है; वह मुझे तांत से काट लेगा; एक ही दिन में तू मेरा अन्त कर डालेगा।
16 हे प्रभु, इन्हीं बातों से लोग जीवित हैं, और इन सभों से मेरी आत्मा को जीवन मिलता है। तू मुझे चंगा कर और मुझे जीवित रख!
18 क्योंकि अधोलोक तेरा धन्यवाद नहीं कर सकता, न मृत्यु तेरी स्तुति कर सकती है; जो कबर में पड़ें वे तेरी सच्चाई की आशा नहीं रख सकते
19 जीवित, हाँ जीवित ही तेरा धन्यवाद करता है, जैसा मैं आज कर रहा हूं; पिता तेरी सच्चाई का समाचार पुत्रों को देता है॥
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord,
3 And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,
5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent:
16 O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee:
19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day:
23 और यीशु सारे गलील में फिरता हुआ उन की सभाओं में उपदेश करता और राज्य का सुसमाचार प्रचार करता, और लोगों की हर प्रकार की बीमारी और दुर्बल्ता को दूर करता रहा।
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
12 जगत की ज्योति मैं हूं; जो मेरे पीछे हो लेगा, वह अन्धकार में न चलेगा, परन्तु जीवन की ज्योति पाएगा।
12 I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
8 क्योंकि अब यदि तुम प्रभु में स्थिर रहो तो हम जीवित हैं।
8 For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
हमें याद रखना चाहिए कि जीवन ईश्वर है, और यह कि ईश्वर सर्वशक्तिमान है।
We should remember that Life is God, and that God is omnipotent.
नश्वर मनुष्य कभी भी त्रुटि, पाप, बीमारी, और मृत्यु में विश्वास की लौकिक दुर्बलता से नहीं उठ सकता, जब तक कि वह यह न जान ले कि ईश्वर ही एकमात्र जीवन है। यह विश्वास कि जीवन और संवेदना शरीर में हैं, मनुष्य को ईश्वर की छवि के रूप में समझने की समझ से दूर होना चाहिए।
Mortal man can never rise from the temporal débris of error, belief in sin, sickness, and death, until he learns that God is the only Life. The belief that life and sensation are in the body should be overcome by the understanding of what constitutes man as the image of God.

Being is holiness, harmony, immortality. It is already proved that a knowledge of this, even in small degree, will uplift the physical and moral standard of mortals, will increase longevity, will purify and elevate character.

The infinite never began nor will it ever end. Mind and its formations can never be annihilated. Man is not a pendulum, swinging between evil and good, joy and sorrow, sickness and health, life and death. Life and its faculties are not measured by calendars. The perfect and immortal are the eternal likeness of their Maker.

The measurement of life by solar years robs youth and gives ugliness to age. The radiant sun of virtue and truth coexists with being. Manhood is its eternal noon, undimmed by a declining sun. As the physical and material, the transient sense of beauty fades, the radiance of Spirit should dawn upon the enraptured sense with bright and imperishable glories.
Never record ages. Chronological data are no part of the vast forever. Time-tables of birth and death are so many conspiracies against manhood and womanhood. Except for the error of measuring and limiting all that is good and beautiful, man would enjoy more than threescore years and ten and still maintain his vigor, freshness, and promise. Man, governed by immortal Mind, is always beautiful and grand. Each succeeding year unfolds wisdom, beauty, and holiness.
Life is eternal. We should find this out, and begin the demonstration thereof. Life and goodness are immortal. Let us then shape our views of existence into loveliness, freshness, and continuity, rather than into age and blight.

Beauty, as well as truth, is eternal; but the beauty of material things passes away, fading and fleeting as mortal belief. Custom, education, and fashion form the transient standards of mortals. Immortality, exempt from age or decay, has a glory of its own, — the radiance of Soul. Immortal men and women are models of spiritual sense, drawn by perfect Mind and reflecting those higher conceptions of loveliness which transcend all material sense.
Comeliness and grace are independent of matter. Being possesses its qualities before they are perceived humanly. Beauty is a thing of life, which dwells forever in the eternal Mind and reflects the charms of His goodness in expression, form, outline, and color. It is Love which paints the petal with myriad hues, glances in the warm sunbeam, arches the cloud with the bow of beauty, blazons the night with starry gems, and covers earth with loveliness.
The embellishments of the person are poor substitutes for the charms of being, shining resplendent and eternal over age and decay.
The recipe for beauty is to have less illusion and more Soul, to retreat from the belief of pain or pleasure in the body into the unchanging calm and glorious freedom of spiritual harmony.
Love never loses sight of loveliness. Its halo rests upon its object. One marvels that a friend can ever seem less than beautiful. Men and women of riper years and larger lessons ought to ripen into health and immortality, instead of lapsing into darkness or gloom. Life is deathless. Life is the origin and ultimate of man, never attainable through death, but gained by walking in the pathway of Truth both before and after that which is called death. There is more Christianity in seeing and hearing spiritually than materially. There is more Science in the perpetual exercise of the Mind-faculties than in their loss. Lost they cannot be, while Mind remains. The apprehension of this gave sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf centuries ago, and it will repeat the wonder.

When we wake to the truth of being, all disease, pain, weakness, weariness, sorrow, sin, death, will be unknown, and the mortal dream will forever cease.
