“तुम भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की सन्तान और उस वाचा के भागी हो, जो परमेश्वर ने तुम्हारे बाप दादों से बान्धी, जब उस ने इब्राहीम से कहा, कि तेरे वंश के द्वारा पृथ्वी के सारे घराने आशीष पाएंगे।”
“Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.”
1. मैंयहोवा की सारी करूणा के विषय सदा गाता रहूंगा।
2. तू स्वर्ग में अपनी सच्चाई को स्थिर रखेगा।
3. मैं ने अपने चुने हुए से वाचा बान्धी है।
15. क्या ही धन्य है वह समाज जो आनन्द के ललकार को पहिचानता है; हे यहोवा, वे लोग तेरे मुख के प्रकाश में चलते हैं।
16. वे तेरे नाम के हेतु दिन भर मगन रहते हैं, और तेरे धर्म के कारण महान हो जाते हैं।
34. मैं अपनी वाचा न तोडूंगा, और जो मेरे मुंह से निकल चुका है, उसे न बदलूंगा।
37. वह चन्द्रमा की नाईं, और आकाश मण्डल के विश्वास योग्य साक्षी की नाईं सदा बना रहेगा।
1. I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever:
2. Thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3. I have made a covenant with my chosen.
15. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
34. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
37. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.
पाठ उपदेश
1 आदि में परमेश्वर ने आकाश और पृथ्वी की सृष्टि की।
26 फिर परमेश्वर ने कहा, हम मनुष्य को अपने स्वरूप के अनुसार अपनी समानता में बनाएं।
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
1 योंआकाश और पृथ्वी और उनकी सारी सेना का बनाना समाप्त हो गया।
6 तौभी कोहरा पृथ्वी से उठता था जिस से सारी भूमि सिंच जाती थी
7 और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को भूमि की मिट्टी से रचा और उसके नथनों में जीवन का श्वास फूंक दिया; और आदम जीवता प्राणी बन गया।
21 तब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को भारी नीन्द में डाल दिया, और जब वह सो गया तब उसने उसकी एक पसली निकाल कर उसकी सन्ती मांस भर दिया।
22 और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने उस पसली को जो उसने आदम में से निकाली थी, स्त्री बना दिया; और उसको आदम के पास ले आया।
25 और आदम और उसकी पत्नी दोनो नंगे थे, पर लजाते न थे॥
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
23 तब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने उसको अदन की बाटिका में से निकाल दिया कि वह उस भूमि पर खेती करे जिस में से वह बनाया गया था।
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
11 क्योंकि आदमियों की घमण्ड भरी आंखें नीची की जाएंगी और मनुष्यों का घमण्ड दूर किया जाएगा; और उस दिन केवल यहोवा ही ऊंचे पर विराजमान रहेगा॥
12 क्योंकि सेनाओं के यहोवा का दिन सब घमण्डियों और ऊंची गर्दन वालों पर और उन्नति से फूलने वालों पर आएगा; और वे झुकाए जाएंगे॥
22 सो तुम मनुष्य से परे रहो जिसकी श्वास उसके नथनों में है, क्योंकि उसका मूल्य है ही क्या?
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
29 परन्तु वहां भी यदि तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को ढूंढ़ोगे, तो वह तुम को मिल जाएगा, शर्त यह है कि तुम अपने पूरे मन से और अपने सारे प्राण से उसे ढूंढ़ो।
31 क्योंकि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा दयालु ईश्वर है, वह तुम को न तो छोड़ेगा और न नष्ट करेगा, और जो वाचा उसने तेरे पितरों से शपथ खाकर बान्धी है उसको नहीं भूलेगा।
29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
10 आज के दिन तुम सब अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने खड़े रहो।
12 कि जो वाचा तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा आज तुझ से बान्धता है, और जो शपथ वह आज तुझ को खिलाता है, उस में तू साझी हो जाए।
13 इसलिये कि उस वचन के अनुसार जो उसने तुझ को दिया, और उस शपथ के अनुसार जो उसने इब्राहीम, इसहाक, और याकूब, तेरे पूर्वजों से खाई थी, वह आज तुझ को अपनी प्रजा ठहराए, और आप तेरा परमेश्वर ठहरे।
10 Ye stand this day all of you before the Lord your God;
12 That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the Lord thy God, and into his oath, which the Lord thy God maketh with thee this day:
13 That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
1 एप्रैम के पहाड़ी देश के रामतैम सोपीम नाम नगर का निवासी एल्काना नाम पुरूष था, वह एप्रेमी था।
2 और उसके दो पत्नियां थीं; एक का तो नाम हन्ना और दूसरी का पनिन्ना था। और पनिन्ना के तो बालक हुए, परन्तु हन्ना के कोई बालक न हुआ।
6 परन्तु उसकी सौत इस कारण से, कि यहोवा ने उसकी कोख बन्द कर रखी थी, उसे अत्यन्त चिढ़ाकर कुढ़ाती रहती थीं।
8 इसलिये उसके पति एल्काना ने उस से कहा, हे हन्ना, तू क्यों रोती है? और खाना क्यों नहीं खाती? और मेरा मन क्यों उदास है? क्या तेरे लिये मैं दस बेटों से भी अच्छा नहीं हूं?
9 तब शीलो में खाने और पीने के बाद हन्ना उठी। और यहोवा के मन्दिर के चौखट के एक अलंग के पास एली याजक कुर्सी पर बैठा हुआ था।
10 और यह मन में व्याकुल हो कर यहोवा से प्रार्थना करने और बिलख बिलखकर रोने लगी।
11 और उसने यह मन्नत मानी, कि हे सेनाओं के यहोवा, यदि तू अपनी दासी के दु:ख पर सचमुच दृष्टि करे, और मेरी सुधि ले, और अपनी दासी को भूल न जाए, और अपनी दासी को पुत्र दे, तो मैं उसे उसके जीवन भर के लिये यहोवा को अर्पण करूंगी।
17 एली ने कहा, कुशल से चली जा; इस्राएल का परमेश्वर तुझे मन चाहा वर दे।
18 उसे ने कहा, तेरी दासी तेरी दृष्टि में अनुग्रह पाए। तब वह स्त्री चली गई और खाना खाया, और उसका मुंह फिर उदास न रहा।
19 ...और एलकाना अपनी स्त्री हन्ना के पास गया, और यहोवा ने उसकी सुधि ली;
20 तब हन्ना गर्भवती हुई और समय पर उसके एक पुत्र हुआ, और उसका नाम शमूएल रखा, क्योंकि वह कहने लगी, मैं ने यहोवा से मांगकर इसे पाया है।
24 जब उसने उसका दूध छुड़ाया तब वह उसको संग ले गई।
25 ... करके बालक को एली के पास पहुंचा दिया।
26 तब हन्ना ने कहा, हे मेरे प्रभु, तेरे जीवन की शपथ, हे मेरे प्रभु, मैं वही स्त्री हूं जो तेरे पास यहीं खड़ी हो कर यहोवा से प्रार्थना करती थी।
27 यह वही बालक है जिसके लिये मैं ने प्रार्थना की थी; और यहोवा ने मुझे मुंह मांगा वर दिया है।
28 इसी लिये मैं भी उसे यहोवा को अर्पण कर देती हूं; कि यह अपने जीवन भर यहोवा ही का बना रहे। तब उसने वहीं यहोवा को दण्डवत किया॥
1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah,
2 And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
6 And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb.
8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?
9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the Lord.
10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.
11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life,
17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
19 ...and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her.
20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.
24 And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her,
25 …and brought the child to Eli.
26 And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord.
27 For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
28 Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there.
1 हेधर्म पर चलने वालो, हे यहोवा के ढूंढ़ने वालो, कान लगाकर मेरी सुनो; जिस चट्टान में से तुम खोदे गए और जिस खानि में से तुम निकाले गए, उस पर ध्यान करो।
4 हे मेरी प्रजा के लोगो, मेरी ओर ध्यान धरो; हे मेरे लोगो, कान लगाकर मेरी सुनो; क्योंकि मेरी ओर से व्यवस्था दी जाएगी, और मैं अपना नियम देश देश के लोगों की ज्योति होने के लिये स्थिर करूंगा।
5 मेरा छुटकारा निकट है; मेरा उद्धार प्रगट हुआ है; मैं अपने भुजबल से देश देश के लोगों का न्याय करूंगा। द्वीप मेरी बाट जाहेंगे और मेरे भुजबल पर आशा रखेंगे।
7 हे धर्म के जानने वालो, जिनके मन में मेरी व्यवस्था है, तुम कान लगाकर मेरी सुनो; मनुष्यों की नामधराई से मत डरो, और उनके निन्दा करने से विस्मित न हो।
8 ...परन्तु मेरा धर्म अनन्तकाल तक, और मेरा उद्धार पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक बना रहेगा।
1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn,
4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8 but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
माँ - ईश्वर; दिव्य और शाश्वत सिद्धांत; जीवन, सत्य और प्रेम।
Mother. God; divine and eternal Principle; Life, Truth, and Love.
विज्ञान में मनुष्य आत्मा की संतान है। सुंदर, अच्छा और शुद्ध उसके वंश का गठन करते हैं। उसका मूल, नश्वर की तरह, पाशविक वृत्ति में नहीं है, और न ही वह बुद्धि तक पहुँचने से पहले भौतिक परिस्थितियों से गुजरता है। आत्मा उसका मूल और होने का परम स्रोत है; परमेश्वर उसका पिता है, और जीवन उसके होने का नियम है।
In Science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good, and pure constitute his ancestry. His origin is not, like that of mortals, in brute instinct, nor does he pass through material conditions prior to reaching intelligence. Spirit is his primitive and ultimate source of being; God is his Father, and Life is the law of his being.
यह स्पष्ट रूप से ध्यान में रखें कि मनुष्य ईश्वर की संतान है, मनुष्य की नहीं; मनुष्य आध्यात्मिक है, भौतिक नहीं; आत्मा आत्मा है, पदार्थ से बाहर, पदार्थ के अन्दर कभी नहीं, शरीर को कभी जीवन और संवेदना नहीं देती।
Keep distinctly in thought that man is the offspring of God, not of man; that man is spiritual, not material; that Soul is Spirit, outside of matter, never in it, never giving the body life and sensation.
आत्मा का ब्रह्माण्ड आध्यात्मिक प्राणियों से भरा हुआ है, और इसका शासन दिव्य विज्ञान है। मनुष्य निम्नतम नहीं, अपितु उच्चतम मानसिक गुणों की संतान है। मनुष्य आध्यात्मिक अस्तित्व को उसी अनुपात में समझता है जैसा कि सत्य और प्रेम के खजाने हैं। मनुष्यों को ईश्वर के प्रति समर्पण करना चाहिए, उनका स्नेह और उद्देश्य आध्यात्मिक रूप से विकसित होना चाहिए, - उन्हें होने की व्यापक व्याख्याओं के पास होना चाहिए, और अनंत के कुछ उचित अर्थों को प्राप्त करना चाहिए, - ताकि पाप और मृत्यु दर को दूर किया जा सके।
The universe of Spirit is peopled with spiritual beings, and its government is divine Science. Man is the offspring, not of the lowest, but of the highest qualities of Mind. Man understands spiritual existence in proportion as his treasures of Truth and Love are enlarged. Mortals must gravitate Godward, their affections and aims grow spiritual, — they must near the broader interpretations of being, and gain some proper sense of the infinite, — in order that sin and mortality may be put off.
क्रिया के उच्चतर स्तर की ओर बढ़ते हुए, विचार भौतिक इंद्रिय से आध्यात्मिक की ओर, शैक्षणिक से प्रेरणात्मक की ओर, तथा नश्वर से अमर की ओर बढ़ता है। सभी चीजें आध्यात्मिक रूप से निर्मित हैं। मन ही सृष्टिकर्ता है, पदार्थ नहीं। प्रेम, दिव्य सिद्धांत, मनुष्य सहित ब्रह्मांड का पिता और माता है।
एक असीम मन भौतिक सीमाओं से आगे नहीं बढ़ सकता। परिमितता अनन्तता का विचार या विशालता प्रस्तुत नहीं कर सकती। एक परिमित या भौतिक स्रोत से उत्पन्न मन सीमित और स्थिर होना चाहिए। अनंत मन ही सृष्टिकर्ता है और सृष्टि इस मन से निकलने वाली अनंत छवि या विचार है।
Advancing to a higher plane of action, thought rises from the material sense to the spiritual, from the scholastic to the inspirational, and from the mortal to the immortal. All things are created spiritually. Mind, not matter, is the creator. Love, the divine Principle, is the Father and Mother of the universe, including man.
A limitless Mind cannot proceed from physical limitations. Finiteness cannot present the idea or the vastness of infinity. A mind originating from a finite or material source must be limited and finite. Infinite Mind is the creator, and creation is the infinite image or idea emanating from this Mind.
जीवन पदार्थ में नहीं है. इसलिए इसे पदार्थ से बाहर जाना नहीं कहा जा सकता। पदार्थ और मृत्यु नश्वर भ्रम हैं। आत्मा और सभी आध्यात्मिक चीज़ें वास्तविक और शाश्वत हैं।
मनुष्य मांस की संतान नहीं है, बल्कि आत्मा की, - जीवन की, पदार्थ की नहीं। क्योंकि जीवन ईश्वर है, जीवन को शाश्वत, स्वयंभू होना चाहिए। जीवन वह चिरस्थायी “मैं हूं” है, वह अस्तित्व जो था और है और रहेगा, जिसे कोई मिटा नहीं सकता।
Life is not in matter. Therefore it cannot be said to pass out of matter. Matter and death are mortal illusions. Spirit and all things spiritual are the real and eternal.
Man is not the offspring of flesh, but of Spirit, — of Life, not of matter. Because Life is God, Life must be eternal, self-existent. Life is the everlasting I am, the Being who was and is and shall be, whom nothing can erase.
मानव के हित में अच्छाई बुराई पर अध्यात्म और पशु पर आधिपत्य होना चाहिए, या सुख कभी नहीं जीता जाएगा। इस खगोलीय स्थिति की प्राप्ति हमारे पूर्वजन्म को कम करेगी, अपराध को कम करेगी, और महत्वाकांक्षा को उच्च लक्ष्य देगी। पाप की हर घाटी को ऊंचा किया जाना चाहिए, और स्वार्थ के हर पहाड़ को नीचे लाया जाना चाहिए, ताकि विज्ञान में हमारे भगवान का राजमार्ग तैयार हो सके। स्वर्गीय सोच वाले माता-पिता की संतानों को अधिक बुद्धि, बेहतर संतुलित मन और मजबूत शारीरिक संरचना विरासत में मिलती है।
The good in human affections must have ascendency over the evil and the spiritual over the animal, or happiness will never be won. The attainment of this celestial condition would improve our progeny, diminish crime, and give higher aims to ambition. Every valley of sin must be exalted, and every mountain of selfishness be brought low, that the highway of our God may be prepared in Science. The offspring of heavenly-minded parents inherit more intellect, better balanced minds, and sounder constitutions.
ईमानदारी और सदाचार विवाह अनुबंध की स्थिरता सुनिश्चित करते हैं। आत्मा अंततः अपना दावा करेगी, - जो वास्तव में है, - और भौतिक इंद्रियों की आवाजें हमेशा के लिए शांत हो जाएंगी।
अनुभव को सद्गुण की पाठशाला होना चाहिए, और मानवीय खुशी मनुष्य की सर्वोच्च प्रकृति से निकलनी चाहिए। मसीह, सत्य, प्रत्येक विवाह वेदी पर उपस्थित होकर जल को मदिरा में परिवर्तित करें तथा मानव जीवन को प्रेरणा प्रदान करें, जिससे मनुष्य के आध्यात्मिक और शाश्वत अस्तित्व को समझा जा सके।
Honesty and virtue ensure the stability of the marriage covenant. Spirit will ultimately claim its own, — all that really is, — and the voices of physical sense will be forever hushed.
Experience should be the school of virtue, and human happiness should proceed from man's highest nature. May Christ, Truth, be present at every bridal altar to turn the water into wine and to give to human life an inspiration by which man's spiritual and eternal existence may be discerned.
आध्यात्मिक रूप से यह समझने के लिए कि एक रचनाकार है, ईश्वर, सारी सृष्टि को उजागर करता है, शास्त्रों की पुष्टि करता है, बिना किसी पक्षपात के, बिना किसी पीड़ा के, और मनुष्य की मृत्यु और सही और शाश्वत का मधुर आश्वासन लाता है।

Spiritually to understand that there is but one creator, God, unfolds all creation, confirms the Scriptures, brings the sweet assurance of no parting, no pain, and of man deathless and perfect and eternal.
If Christian Scientists educate their own offspring spiritually, they can educate others spiritually and not conflict with the scientific sense of God's creation. Some day the child will ask his parent: "Do you keep the First Commandment? Do you have one God and creator, or is man a creator?" If the father replies, "God creates man through man," the child may ask, "Do you teach that Spirit creates materially, or do you declare that Spirit is infinite, therefore matter is out of the question?"
बच्चों की सम्पूर्ण शिक्षा ऐसी होनी चाहिए जिससे उनमें नैतिक और आध्यात्मिक नियमों के पालन की आदतें विकसित हो सकें, जिससे बच्चा तथाकथित भौतिक नियमों में विश्वास को पूरा कर सके और उस पर विजय प्राप्त कर सके, जो एक ऐसी मान्यता है जो रोग को जन्म देती है।
बच्चों को ज्ञान में बच्चे ही बने रहने दिया जाना चाहिए, तथा उन्हें मनुष्य की उच्चतर प्रकृति की समझ में वृद्धि के माध्यम से ही पुरुष और महिला बनना चाहिए।
मनुष्य की उच्चतर प्रकृति निम्न द्वारा शासित नहीं होती; यदि ऐसा होता, तो ज्ञान का क्रम उलट जाता।
The entire education of children should be such as to form habits of obedience to the moral and spiritual law, with which the child can meet and master the belief in so-called physical laws, a belief which breeds disease.
Children should be allowed to remain children in knowledge, and should become men and women only through growth in the understanding of man's higher nature.
The higher nature of man is not governed by the lower; if it were, the order of wisdom would be reversed.
प्रेम प्रकृति को समृद्ध करता है, बड़ा करता है, शुद्ध करता है और उसे उन्नत करता है।
Love enriches the nature, enlarging, purifying, and elevating it.
कभी-कभी हम सीखेंगे कि आत्मा, महान वास्तुकार, ने विज्ञान में पुरुषों और महिलाओं को कैसे बनाया है। हमें क्षणभंगुर और झूठ से तौबा करना चाहिए और ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं करना चाहिए जो हमारे सर्वोच्च स्वार्थ में बाधक हो।

Sometime we shall learn how Spirit, the great architect, has created men and women in Science. We ought to weary of the fleeting and false and to cherish nothing which hinders our highest selfhood.
Proportionately as human generation ceases, the unbroken links of eternal, harmonious being will be spiritually discerned; and man, not of the earth earthly but coexistent with God, will appear. The scientific fact that man and the universe are evolved from Spirit, and so are spiritual, is as fixed in divine Science as is the proof that mortals gain the sense of health only as they lose the sense of sin and disease. Mortals can never understand God's creation while believing that man is a creator. God's children already created will be cognized only as man finds the truth of being. Thus it is that the real, ideal man appears in proportion as the false and material disappears.
